Reach Higher Ground
We each maintain a guidebook of sorts to help us decide what behaviors and
attitudes we want to adopt. For example, we might decide to be courteous
and diligent. Then we sometimes fall short. We might get angry when we
intended to be kind or we might skip our planned exercise because we're not
in the mood.
In this talk, Jerry Waxler will explore techniques that help us adhere
to our values and goals, so we can be the person we want to be.
Writing as a tool to enhance spirituality
If you are interested in spirituality, come to this workshop to find
how writing can help you achieve your goals. Writing lets you reach inside
yourself, and connect interior passages with outer ones.
We'll explore how writing enhances spirituality
-- As a tool for introspection
--Write spiritual goals into your mission
--Fantasy expands your horizons
--Share yourself with others
--Hook your affirmations up to the real world
Improve your life by shaping your story
Your story is more than just memories. It's a roadmap that leads to your goals. If you want to point yourself in the right direction, refine the story you tell about yourself. In this workshop, we'll develop a deeper appreciation for life story, in the past, present, and future.
You'll learn:
1. Power of story throughout life.
2. Harvest, heal the past to propel you forward.
3. Develop the story of your future.
4. Projects, goals, mission and other future pulls
5. Themes that enhance success, #1 (restlessness, rules, service)
6. Themes that enhance success, #2 (creativity, focus, listening)
7. Themes that enhance success #3 (self-management, renewal, receiving)
8. The Hero's Journey helps model your life
9. Stories bind us to each other
